🎁 The Best Gift in the World

Yesterday on Saturday, we went out to go street evangelism. We did it today, also. This is the best gift in the whole world that we’re giving for free.

Every week, my father, brother and I go out to the streets to preach the gospel.

We usually get 10-15 people to listen to us but frequently they just don’t even want to hear. We carry a handmade wooden cross from my dad that says “Jesus Christ is Lord” and on the other side it says the same in Hebrew. Our route is down Harpenden town centre to the Waffle House, across the Leisure Centre Carpark through the Rothamstead Park and then repeat. It takes around 1 hour and at the end we eat the best Chocolate Waffles of all time.

What we say is very simple it only takes under 20s. After saying “Hello” and getting their attention, my dad says: “We’re here to tell you the Gospel; do you know the Good News?” And then the three-point Gospel: “Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins, according to Scriptures; He was buried in a tomb according to Scriptures; and on the 3rd day He rose again from the dead according to Scriptures.” The

‘according to Scriptures’ is very crucial because it means it was predicted 700 years before it happened by Prophet Isaiah.

The reason the Gospel is the greatest gift of all times is because if people believe this and commit their lives to Jesus, they will be saved and not go to hell. They will live forever and rejoice in heaven. But we don’t chuck pearls at pigs. Literally, we are giving them a chance to live forever for free of charge! That’s the best news ever! And the surprising thing is hardly any people accept this gift! John 3:16:

“For God so loved the world, he gave his only son, whoever believes in him shall not perish and have eternal life.”

See what I mean? This is way better than £10,000,000,000,000. 100x better. Infinite times better. I just don’t know when it comes to things like this. Human nature is so corrupt that they prefer MONEY to eternal life and having the Alpha and Omega as your friend.

My conclusion is people should repent at all cost and turn 180-degrees to God. All of Harpenden should be Christian like it is supposed to be. I pray it will happen.

어제 토요일에 우리는 거리 전도를 하러 나갔습니다. 오늘도 그렇게 했어요. 우리는 세상에서 가장 좋은 선물을 무료로 주고 있습니다. 매주 아버지와 동생과 저는 거리에 나가 복음을 전합니다.

보통은 10-15명 정도가 우리의 말을 들어주지만, 듣고 싶어하지 않는 사람들이 대부분입니다. 우리는 아버지가 직접 만든 나무 십자가를 가지고 다니는데, 거기에는 “JESUS CHRIST IS LORD”라고 쓰여 있고, 다른 한쪽에는 같은 말이 히브리어로 적혀 있습니다. 우리의 경로는 하펜던 타운 센터를 지나 “와플 하우스”까지, 레저 센터 주차장을 가로질러 로담스테드 공원을 통과한 다음 반복합니다. 이 과정은 약 1시간이 걸리며, 끝나면 최고의 초콜릿 와플을 먹습니다.

우리가 말하는 것은 매우 간단하며 20초도 채 걸리지 않습니다. “안녕하세요”라고 인사하고 그들의 주의를 끈 후, 아버지는 이렇게 말합니다: “우리는 당신께 복음을 전하러 왔습니다; 당신은 좋은 소식을 아시나요?” 그리고 세 가지 요점의 복음을 전합니다: “예수 그리스도께서 성경에 따라 여러분의 죄를 위해 십자가에 달려 돌아가셨고; 성경에 따라 무덤에 묻히셨으며; 그리고 셋째 날에 성경에 따라 죽은 자 가운데서 다시 살아나셨습니다.” 여기서 ‘성경에 따라’라는 말은 매우 중요합니다. 왜냐하면 이 일이 일어나기 700년 전에 이사야 선지자가 예언했기 때문입니다.

복음이 모든 시대를 통틀어 가장 위대한 선물인 이유는 사람들이 이것을 믿고 예수님을 믿기만 하면 구원을 받고 지옥에 가지 않기 때문입니다. 그들은 영원히 살며 천국에서 기뻐할 것입니다. 그러나 우리는 돼지에게 진주를 던지지 않습니다. 문자 그대로, 우리는 그들에게 무료로 영원히 살 수 있는 기회를 주고 있습니다! 이것이야말로 최고의 소식입니다! 그리고 놀라운 것은 거의 아무도 이 선물을 받아들이지 않는다는 것입니다! 요한복음 3장 16절:

“하나님이 세상을 이처럼 사랑하사 독생자를 주셨으니, 이는 그를 믿는 자마다 멸망하지 않고 영생을 얻게 하려 하심이라.”

무슨 말인지 아시겠죠? 이것은 £10,000,000,000,000보다 훨씬 더 나은 것입니다. 100배 더 좋습니다. 무한히 더 좋습니다. 이런 것에 대해서는 말로 다 할 수 없습니다. 인간의 본성이 너무 타락해서 영생과 알파와 오메가를 친구로 삼는 것보다 돈을 더 선호합니다.

내 결론은 사람들이 어떤 대가를 치르더라도 회개하고 하나님께 180도 방향을 돌려야 한다는 것입니다. 하펜던 전체가 부흥되어 기독교인이 되어야 합니다. 나는 그것이 이루어지기를 기도합니다.
