📯 The Jubilee Solves the Rapture Problem

Most of the prophetic watch community maps the fall feasts like this:

Feast of Trumpets = rapture
Day of Atonement = second coming with the saints
Tabernacles = the Millennium

Clean. Neat. And completely broken.

Here’s the problem nobody wants to say out loud.

If the rapture is tied to Trumpets—a fixed date on the calendar—then imminency dies. Jesus said no one knows the day or the hour. Paul told us to live every day as if He could come at any moment. That urgency is the engine of holy living.

“I will behave wisely in a blameless way; O when will You come to me?”

Psalm 101:2

You can’t have that edge if the rapture only happens once a year. “Well, it’s the only feast where no one knows the day or hour because of the new moon”—sure, but that’s once a year. The rest of the year, the rapture is less likely. That’s not imminency. That’s a countdown.

Amir Tsarfati’s 2024 mapping fixes the imminency issue by putting the second coming on Trumpets and Israel’s cry on Atonement ten days later. But Revelation 19 doesn’t give Jesus a ten-day gap. Israel cries “Baruch haba b’shem Adonai” and He comes down and immediately deals with the Armageddon army. No waiting period.

So here’s the realization—and Christian Widener has been teaching this for years.

Leviticus 25:9 says to sound the trumpet of jubilee on the tenth day of the seventh month—the Day of Atonement. Ezekiel 40:1 dates his vision “on Rosh Hashanah, on the tenth of the month.” The only year Rosh Hashanah falls on the tenth is a Jubilee year. Every other year it’s the first. On a Jubilee year, the new-year trumpet blast and the atonement day land on the same day.

That solves everything.

The annual Feast of Trumpets on the first of Tishri stays exactly what it should be—a yearly reminder that the rapture can happen any moment. Imminency intact. As Arnold Fruchtenbaum says so succinctly, “nothing needs to happen prophetically before Jesus takes His betrothed in a pre-tribulation rapture event.”

But when Jesus actually returns with His saints, it will be a Jubilee year. The two feasts collapse into one. No ten-day gap. No timeline problem. The calendar itself does the work.
